The emission of greenhouse gases is the biggest human influence. Greenhouse gases are nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and methane. These gases trap the heat radiating from the Earth to space. As a result, they are absorbed and emitted by these gases in the atmosphere, which results in warming up the lower atmosphere and the surface. The demand for agricultural land is another reason for the depletion of forest lands which directly affects the first point. Less number of trees means less absorption of greenhouse gases. Black carbon present in soot falls on the snow or ice and increases the absorption of sunlight. It even increases the melting of the ice and causes the rise of sea levels. This is how different conditions on earth are contributing to global climate change.
