Answer:

An object which moves in the negative direction has a negative velocity. If the object is speeding up then its acceleration vector is directed in the same direction as its motion (in this case, a negative acceleration).

Answer:

velocity too will be negative

Step-by-step explanation:

If displacement is negative,is velocity negative too?

Velocity is the rate of the displacement of an object with time

velocity = displacement / time

Since there is no negative timing in all cases, so in every case where the displacement is negative , then displacement will velocity will also be negative

For example, If the displacement of an object is -30m and the time 6 seconds

Then velocity = displacement / time

= -30/6

= -5 m/s
