To find the bottom edge as the image asks:

The "orange" in the image I attatched

The lines / hash marks let us know there are congruent sides to this shape.

-> See attatched.

Before we find the bottom edge, we need to turn 0.5 ft into inches.

One foot = 12 inches

Half a foot = 6 inches

Now, we add up the 3 inches from the left side, the 3 inches from the right side, and the 6 inches from the center.

6 + 3 + 3 = 12 inches

The bottom edge is 12 inches.

To find the total perimeter as you ask in the text part:

The lines / hash marks let us know there are congruent sides to this shape.

-> See attatched.

Before we find the perimeter, we need to turn 0.5 ft into inches.

One foot = 12 inches

Half a foot = 6 inches

Now, we add up all the sides to find the total perimeter in inches.

3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 42 inches

The total perimeter is 42 inches.
