Area of the circle outside
= πr2
= π(5)2
=25 π

Area of the bigger circle inside
= π x(3)2
= 9 π
Area of the smaller circle inside
= π x (2)2
= 4 π

Area of shaded region
= 25π - 9π - 4π
= 12π square unit
