The area of the base of a cylinder is 42 square inches and its height is 13 inches. A cone has the same area for its base and the same height. What is the volume of the cone? please help

Explanation:

the volume of the cylinder is

pi×r²×height = base area × height = 42×13 = 546 in³

the volume of a cone is

pi×r²×height/3 = base area × height / 3

so, the volume of the cone with the same basic sizes as the cylinder is the volume of the cylinder / 3 =

= 546 / 3 = 182 in³
