Why does it rain more in west ferris than in east ferris

The scientific response to this would be that water vapor condenses as it moves higher, where the atmosphere is colder, keeping this in mind, it should help to explain why rain forms more over West Farris rather than East Ferris.

Warmer air carried more moisture, and when forced upwards in elevation, the temperature drops, then allowing more rainfall to precipitate out
