=> y + 12 = 3x - 5

Also ,

=> 3x - 5 = 5y - 4

from above two ,

=> y + 12 = 5y - 4

=> 4y = 16

=> y = 16/4

=> y = 4

So that ,

=> 3x - 5 = 4 + 12

=> 4x = 16 + 5

=> x = 21/4

=> x = 5.25
