Answer: 450 kcal

Explanation:

So you know the food is 360 kcal per 1 cup

by setting up a proportion, you can relate the number of kcal to cups.

(360 kcal)/(1 cup) = (?kcal)/((3/4 +1/2)cup) \\\\

we can simplify the fraction to this:

(360 kcal)/(1 cup) = (?kcal)/((5/4)cup) \\\\

by cross multiplying you can solve the proportion

(360) * (5/4) = (?) * (1)

simplifying gets this:

450 = ?

so he ate 450 kcal total
