If 25% of $2000 is spent on food,how much money is spent on food?

Explanation:

Simply change the 25% into a decimal which is 0.25 and multiply $2000.

Or you can change 25% into a a fraction which is 25/100 and simplify giving 1/4. Then simply multiply $2000 by the fraction: 2000/1×1/4. Cross multiply which is 2000×1/1×4=2000/4. Now simply divide 2000 by 4 and you get 500 as your answer.
