Expand 2(2x-3) by applying Distributive law:

Multiply:


2* \:2x=4


2* \:3=6


4x-6


6x+4x-6=18

Combine like terms:


6x+4x=10x


10x-6=18

Add 2 to both sides:


10x-6+6=18+6


10x=24

Divide both sides by 10:


(10x)/(10)=(24)/(10)


x=(12)/(5)
