1- first add the 8 to 48.
You are trying to undo the equation to get to the x, so you would do the reverse of subtraction and add.
That would equal 56. (7x= 56)
2- Now you divide 56 by 7. Like above, we are trying to undo the equation. 7 times x equals 7x, so we divide to undo it. 56/7 equals 8. So, x=8.
