Answer: Causes of the war included British attempts to restrict U.S. trade, the Royal Navy's impressment of American seamen and America's desire to expand its territory. The issues where so important for the fact that if America couldn't make the amount of trade that it needed, then it would America couldn't keep enough money to keep its government and people healthy, therefore America would collapse as a nation.
