Take a good look at the head lights and tail lights of your family vehicle . How does the shape of the lenses of each and the reflectors aid the light emitted ?

Answer: The shape lets you see a wide area but not blind everyone that is ahead of you though some vehicles are tall and do so anyways or are too close and the reflections make sure the light is brighter forward than to the sides so it can be more effective for seeing in the dark or even during storms.
