Hello castilloesperanza399!

\huge \boxed{\mathbb{QUESTION} \downarrow}

Evaluate the expression when a= -7 and b=2

a-4b.

\large \boxed{\mathfrak{Answer \: with \: Explanation} \downarrow}

It's given that,

  • a = -7
  • b = 2

Our expression is 'a - 4b'. We already have the values of a & b, so to solve it we need to substitute the values given in the place of a & b.

a - 4b \\ = ( - 7) - 4(2) \\ = - 7 - 8 \\ = \large\boxed{\boxed{ \bf- 15}}

  • The value of the expression will be -15.
