Answer:

Explanation:

first find the slope with m=
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) \\

M =
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) =
(1-4)/(8-4) =
(-3)/(4) ← SLOPE

then add in one of the points so I am using (4, 4)

Y = mx+b

4 =
(-3)/(4)(4)+b

4 = -3 + b

add 3 to both sides

7=b

then add those two answers into the y=mx+b formula so it would be

Y=
(-3)/(4) x + 7
