x > 3 or x < - 3
Given equations:
−2(x + 4) + 10 < x − 7
or
−2x + 9 > 3(x + 8)
Solve each inequality:
−2(x + 4) + 10 < x − 7
-2x - 8 + 10 < x - 7
-2x - x < -7 - 2
-3x < -9
3x > 9
x > 3
or
−2x + 9 > 3(x + 8)
-2x + 9 > 3x + 24
-2x - 3x > 24 - 9
-5x > 15
5x < -15
x < - 3
