Explanation:

Reduce the fractions to having a common denominator (find the L.C.M. of 10 and 3).

(1)/(10) + (1)/(3)

= (1 * 3)/(10 *3) + (1 * 10)/(3 * 10)

= (3)/(30) + (10)/(30)

= (13)/(30)
