Volume of rectangular prism

= l * b * h

= 2 * 4 * 6

= 48 {in}^(3)

Volume of a golf ball

= (4)/(3) \pi {r}^(3)

= (4)/(3) * ( {(3)/(2) })^( 3) * \pi

= (4)/(3) * (9)/(4) * \pi

= (1)/(3) * (9)/(1) * \pi

= 3\pi

= 3 * 3.14

= 9.42 {in}^(3)

Volume of 3 golf balls

= 3 * 9.42

= 28.26 {in}^(3)

Empty space remaining

= Volume of the prism - Volume of the balls

= 48 - 28.26

= 19.74 {in}^(3)
