Why were the cities of Milan,

Florence and Venice so
wealthy during the 1400 and
1500s? How did this promote
the Renaissance?

They were so wealthy because they were mini industrial powerhouses and got rich through trade as well. This promoted the Renaissance because all the money supported artist, elaborate building projects, and scholars who translated and comment on thousand year old documents
