Adult tickets for a movie cost $6 and children’s tickets cost $3. If two adults and three children go to the movies, how much will they pay?

Answer:

$21

Procedure:

(6) (2) = 12 (3) (3) = 9

Verification

12 / 2 = 6 9 / 3 = 3

Here is the equation I did to solve your problem:

For our variable we will use Adult to represent A

:PEMDAS:
6a+3s

6(2)+3(3)

12+9=$21

Therefore they will pay $21, if two adults and three children go to the movies.
