We are told that c(16x + 14) = 32x + d

Now, if 16x + 4 is multiplied by 2 we will have:

2(16x+14)=32x+28

then 32x + 28 = 32x + d

  • ∴ d = 32x+28-32x
  • d= 0+28
  • d= 28

Since C(16x+14) = 32x+d

and 2 (16x+14) = 32x + d

then c = 2, d = 28
