Can someone explain how 8.75 multiplied by 0.8 is 7??? It just don't make sense... I don't see why the number got smaller instead of bigger.....

It's because of the decimal of .8

Explanation:

It can be confusing but since its not a whole number when you multiply with a whole number gets smaller instead of bigger. So the whole number basically has to give some of it to the decimal so, that the outcome can be a whole number.

Answer:

80% of 8.75=7. I'm pretty sure this is the reason.
