Let used balloon be x

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=60\%\:of\:450

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=(60)/(100)* 450

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=45(6)

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=270

Explanation:

Solution,

  • Let the number of used balloons be x,

Given:-

  • Total number of balloons= 450
  • Used percentage of balloons= 60%

Now,

Number of used balloons(x)=

  • 60% of 450
  • 60/100×450
  • 270

Hence, 270 balloons were used.
