What was it like to live in America after World War 2?

We got Coca-Cola and other brands, also the US was stronger then ever, because Europe was decimated by the war. The rival was now the Soviet Union and communism. Once the dust settled (2 years) the Cold War broke out and fears of nuclear war and communism were everywhere. If you said the Soviet Union was great in the US that would be worse then yelling HEIL HITLER.
