Why does the square root of 3 x the square root of 3 = 3?

Answer: the square root of 3 is: (a number) times ITSELF is equal to 3. Therefore, if you multiply that number times that number again, it is equal to 3. Ex1- sqrt of 4 times the sqrt of 4 –> 2 times 2 which is 4 Ex2- sqrt of 9 times the sqrt of 9 –> 3 times 3 which is 9
