Explanation:

Find two points on the graph where the line hits both corners of the graph first. ( The line has to go through a corner )

Two points on the graph: ( -2,6 ) and ( 2, -6 )

The first values are X-values ( -2, 2 ) It does left to right

The second values are Y-values ( 6,-6 ) It goes up and down

So to find the slope of a line you get two points and you do this formula

( y2-y1 ) / ( x2-x1 )

So that means

( -6 - 6 )

------------- = -12

( 2 - -2 ) -------

4

-12 / 4 = -3
