2(4x + 5) - 3x = 9 - (7 - 3x)
8x + 10 - 3x = 9 - 7 + 3x
8x - 3x - 3x = 9 - 7 - 10
2x = 9 - 7 - 10
2x = - 8
x = - 8/2
x = - 4
