x^2 - 2x - 3 = 0

(x - 3)(x + 1) = 0

So alpha and beta are -1 and 3.

So the roots of the required equation are 2(-1)-1 and 2(3) - 1

= -3, 5.

So the equation is

(x - 5)(x + 3) = 0

-that is x^2 - 2x - 15 = 0
