How many cubes of side 2cm can be fitted into a box 12 cm long, 8cm wide and 4cm high?

The answer is 48.
You find the volume of the box - 12 X 8 X 4 = 384
Find the volume of the Cube with side 2 cm - 2 X 2 X 2 = 8
344 divided by 8 = 48
Therefore, 48 cubes would fit into the box
