3/12 or 1/4
Explanation:
|x/4 + 1/3| = 7/12
Convert the fractions to a common denominator of 12
1/3 = 4/12
x/4 = x/12
|x/12 + 4/12| = 7/12
x = 7/12 - 4/12
x = 3/12 or 1/4
