When finding the slope using a graph, you can find it with a method called rise/run. This essentially means a change of y/a change of x

We find this by plugging in the given y points over the given x points


(2-0)/(-5-(-1))


(2)/(-4) =-1/2

Therefore, the slope is -1/2.
