On simplyfing further,


\implies 5x + 30 = 10x \quad or \quad 5x +30=-10x

Now we know that the value of modulus is never negative so when we will put x is equal to 2 on the RHS we will get -20 which is not possible . Therefore , the extraneous root is -2 .
