Answer:

y = [ 1 ] x + [ - 5 ]

Explanation:

Let us consider 2 points through which the line passes.

(x_1 , y _ 1 ) = ( 5 , 0 ) \ and \ (x _ 2 , y _ 2 ) = ( 0 , - 5 )

Step 1 : Find slope, m

slope, m = (y _ 2 - y_ 1 )/(x_ 2 - x_ 1 ) = (-5 - 0)/(0-5) = (-5)/(-5) = 1

Step 2 : Equation of line

(y - y_ 1) = m( x - x_1)\\\\( y - 0) = 1 ( x - 5)\\\\y = x - 5 \\\\y = x + ( -5)

y = (1) x + ( -5)

Answer:

{ \bf{consider \: points \: (5, \: 0) \: and \: (0, \: - 5)}} \\ { \tt{slope = ( - 5 - 0)/(0 - 5) }} \\ { \tt{m = 1}} \\ \\ { \tt{y = mx + c}} \\ 0 = ( 1 * 5) + c \\ c = -5 \\ \\ { \bf{answer : { \tt{y = { \boxed{ 1}x + { \boxed{-5}}}}}}}
