Teresa has 800 milliliters of water. Sara has 5 liters of water. Without converting units, tell why Sara has more water than Teresa. Then show how much more water more Sara has.

You can't do this without some conversion of units. You can do it with just the definition of a Liter

1 Liter has 1000 mL

1000mL > 800 mL

5 Liters requires a conversion

5 Liters = 5 * 1000 = 5000 mL

Difference = Sara - Teresa use to determine how much more Sara has

Difference = 5000 - 800

Difference = 4200

Sara has 4200 more mL than Teresa
