If a literary analysis were to include an opinion, it would ruin any factual evidence used along with it. Opinions are statements made based off of our feelings, and a lot of the times those feeling aren’t very accurate, or entirely factual. Imagine if an entire analysis was filled with how the author felt, and how he/she THINKS this happened, or any details about how it happened that aren’t factually supported. This wouldn’t provide a very good analysis, and for a grade, wouldn’t get a very good one. Overall, opinions definitely should NOT be included in a literary analysis.
