Why A Doesn't Work:

y=mx+b is a linear equation.

y=2x, y=2x+0 which is a linear equation.

Why C doesn't work:

Anything with x² in it is a parabola. Anything.

4x² is a parabola, not an exponential equation.

Check for yourself on Desmos.

Why D doesn't work:

2(0.5)x

2(0.5) = 1

(1)x = 1x

y=1x, y = 1x+0 = LINEAR

Why B Works:

I do not understand what B is supposed to be, but I suppose it is correct by using the process of elimination.
