Answer: 26 cards

Explanation:

Suppose there are x cards initially

Min gave half to bill i.e. 0.5x

Bill gives one-third of those cards to Sam i.e.
(1)/(3)* 0.5x

Sam gave 2 cards back to min and kept 6 i.e. Sam gets 8 cards from Bill

\Rightarrow 8=(1)/(3)* 0.5x\\\\\Rightarrow 0.5x=24\\\Rightarrow x=48

So, min has 0.5x+2 cards i.e.

\Rightarrow 0.5* 48+2\\\Rightarrow 26\ \text{cards}
