The Germans had developed great weapons of war and such as tanks, planes, and etc. The only problem was that they didn’t have enough domestic oil to keep their war machines running. It was discovered that the Middle East had an abundance of oil and the Germans were keen on taking and using that for themselves. Hence the reason why Germany attacked the USSR was for their oil because Germany was running out of oil. Also oil limitations was also one of the reasons why the Japanese attack the US at Pearl Harbor.
