Pete rented a bike from Bob’s Bikes. It costs $13 plus $5 for every hour. If Pete paid $23, then how many hours did he rent the bike for?

He rent the bike for 2 hours.

Explanation:

5x + 13= 23

I honestly just 13+5= 18

Then 18+5= 23

That is how I knew it was 2 hours.
