the value of m is equal to 2l+1 so there must beseven values for m.

m can have values from -l through zero to +l so the values are -3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2 and +3.

For a given valye of l(l shell), values of m are from -l to 0 to l, so m could be; -3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3.
