listening to his heart. Write about a time when you felt the same struggle.

Ever since I was a kid I liked drawing, and I’ve always wanted to be the best at it. My parents always supported me as a kid but when I started to grow up they pushed me more towards my education rather then art. I received a lot of awards and praise for my art but my parents still wanted me to better my math, history etc. education. I feel like if I had the chance I would tear away from school and pursue something art related.

yes, I wanted to pursue gymnastics but after my car accident in the summer my family felt that it was best i didn’t continue. although it was hard for me to agree with them, I understood where they were coming from, and I knew that they were only saying this to look out for me. In the long run, pursuing gymnastics wouldve only further cause me irritation and pain due to my injury.
