Elevation ( h ) = 12 meters

mechanical efficiency of pump ( η pump ) = 85% = 0.85

Calculate for the maximum volume flow rate of water

1 - hp = 745.7 w

η pump = mgh / W * in

mgh = η pump * W * in

i.e. pVgh = η pump * W * in

∴ V = η pump * W * in / pgh

= 0.82 * ( 745.7 * 6 ) / 1000 * 9.81 * 12

= 3668.844 / 117720

= 0.031 m^3 /s = 29481.601 gallons/hour
