then you get 7+2x=15

then minus 7 from both sides

2x=8

divide by 2

x=4

Explanation:

7 + 2x/3 = 5

7*3 + 2x = 5*3 ( we multiply by 3 to remove the denominator )

21 + 2x = 15

2x = 15 - 21

2x = -6

x = -6/2

x = -3
