Your carry-on bag weighs 25 pounds. Carry-on bags can weigh at most 50 pounds. Write and solve an inequality to represents how much more weight you can add to the bag and still meet the requirement.

Answer: Required inequality:
25+x\leq 50

we can add at most 25 pounds.

Explanation:

Let x = Weight added.

As per given,

25 pounds + Weight added Must be less than or equal to 50 pounds

i.e. Required inequality:
25+x\leq 50

To solve , we subtract 25 from both the sides ,we get


x\leq 25

hence, we can add at most 25 pounds.
