  • y=2x²+8x+10

X coordinate of vertex

  • -8/2(2)
  • -8/4
  • -2

y coordinate

  • y=2(4)-16+10
  • y=-8+10
  • y=2

Vertex is at (-2,2)

Put x=0

  • y=10

Explanation:

f(x) = 2x²+8x+10

vertex point :

x = -8/2(2)= -8/4

=> x = -2 <= this is a symetry axis

f(-2)= 2(-2)²+8(-2)+10=8-16+10=2

the vertex point : (-2, 2)

intercept with y-axis :

f(0) = 0+0+10 = 10

the point : (0, 10)

the drawing as attached

Use the Parabola tool to graph the quadratic function. f(x) = 2x2 + 8x + 10 Graph-example-1
