In order to calculate the area of a triangle, you must multiply the base by the height and divide it by 2. If you know how to work out the area of a rectangle, you should be able to easily work out the area of a triangle because a triangle is basically half of a rectangle or square. Therefore, you should use the same method of finding the area of a rectangle and then dividing it by 2 as it's half of a rectangle. I hope that makes sense!
