Rex has to ride 3 miles on his bike. Each lap around his block is 1/8 mile. Rex wants to figure out how many laps he needs to ride his bike.

24 miles

Explanation:

If each lap is 1/8 of a mile, then we have to do 3x8 to get our answer.

8x3=24

So hence, Rex has to go 24 times around his block to ride his bike for 3 miles.
