People think that “coping with stress” should be an immediate process in which you no longer feel an overwhelming amount of stress due to whatever the problem or situation may be but they are wrong. Everyone in life is going to be stressed but there is a way to deal with it and avoid it before it can get out of hand, for instance I used to be stressed everyday when I was younger but I realized that being stressed is not healthy for your body nor your mental state so with that being said, I decided to take a different approach. What approach did you take? You might ask, well when I would feel that overwhelming feeling I would sit near my room window and breathe in and slowly breathe out; I would then start thinking about everything I want to do in life which made me calm down more and relax. Also, if you have people in your life who are very supporting and trust worthy then it would be a great idea to tell them what your stressed about and then they can advise you on what to do.
