Answer: 141

===========================================

Work Shown:

A = area of trapezoid

A = height*(base1+base2)/2

A = 9*(16+10)/2

A = 9*26/2

A = 9*13

A = 117

---------

B = area of triangle

B = base*height/2

B = 6*8/2

B = 48/2

B = 24

----------

C = area of entire figure

C = A+B

C = 117+24

C = 141 square inches

We can write "sq in" or "in^2" as shorthand for "square inches".
