Answer:
Act as depressants on the central nervous system
Drugs bind to opiate receptors in the brain, spinal cord, etc.
Blocks the perception of pain.
Cause side effects such as nausea, confusion, and drowsiness.
Feelings of euphoria(immense joy + happiness)
Hijacks neurotransmitter called dopamine, the reward system
You CAN get it legally with prescription, but still have a chance of becoming addicted.
